Simon and Linda remembered when Wrest Point had style- showgirls in towering feathered headdresses, cocktail lounges filled with jazz, and a touch of old-school glamour. Anna and Tom, however, had only ever been to ‘The Caz’ for a Fatboy Slim gig, where the most extravagant costume was a glow stick necklace.

None of them cared for gambling, but they all agreed: the place could use a bit more Ritz and a lot fewer pokie machines. As they clinked their overpriced cocktails, Linda sighed, “Bring back the glam”
